The meter is a unit that used for measuring length. This is the mostly accepted long length measuring unit of international system of units. The symbol that resembles meter is the simple “m” of English alphabet.
In some countries foot is heavily used in measuring length. The definition of international system of units for meter and foot is somewhat different. It seems to be complicated. The international system of unit recognize a meter per second as the unit of speed. However in the general context the meter is used to measure the length. The foot is also used to measure length. However internationally accepted and more recognized unit is the meter. Before understanding Feet Per Meter you should clearly understand what is feet and what is meter. What is the relationship between feet and meter. You can easily say a meter is 3.1feet. therefore Feet Per Meter is basically 3.1 or else three and point ten feet. But that doesn't mean that is the only relationship between a feet and a meter. A feet consist of thirty centimeter. Centimeter is the small SI unit that is also used to measure the length. A meter consist of hundred centimeters. Thus if you divided hundred centimeters by thirty centimeters you can easily arrive the answer for Feet Per Meter. If you elaborate it further you can say ten meters is thirty one feet. That was arrived by multiplying ten meters by three point one feet. Likewise, you can easily convert feet's per meter's or meter's per feet's. some times, one person can disclose a length by meters. Whereas other is expecting it from foots. That is where you need to convert either feet in to foot or else foots in to meters. One should clearly understand these conversion is not a trivial task. |
